Our first session is a relaxed, information-gathering meeting where we talk about what brings you to therapy, your goals, and what you hope to work on. It also helps us see if we’re a good fit moving forward.

No, I do not prescribe medication. Only psychiatrists and other medical doctors can prescribe medication. If during our sessions you’d like to explore medication as an option, I can provide local referrals to trusted providers. Medication is always a personal choice, and we’ll discuss what feels right for you if that’s something you’re considering.

It’s completely normal to question your progress at times. Therapy is a process, and growth can take time. If you ever feel unsure, we can talk about it openly in session to review your goals, adjust our approach, and make sure therapy continues to feel helpful and aligned with your needs. Being in therapy is always your choice, and you’re free to pause or discontinue at any time if it doesn’t feel right for you.

Yes, if it feels helpful, we can include a family member or partner in a session to support communication or understanding. This is something we’ll discuss together first to make sure it fits your goals and comfort level. If more targeted family or couples intervention is needed, I can provide a referral to a specialized family or couples therapist for additional support.

While talking to a friend can be comforting, therapy offers a professional, structured, and confidential space focused entirely on you. As a therapist, I’m trained to help you understand patterns, process emotions, and develop tools for long-term growth and healing—without judgment or bias. Therapy goes deeper, helping you make lasting changes rather than just getting temporary relief.
